We welcome new patients to the practice and are always happy to be recommended by existing patients. We are a committed NHS practice and offer a full range of NHS treatments in addition to private alternatives. We register all patients as NHS patients unless requested to do otherwise. With the assistance of our colleagues in Childsmile, Orthodontic and Maxillofacial teams at local hospitals and administrators we have access to a comprehensive healthcare team. We are always happy to answer any questions you have about joining the practice.
New patient consultation
To make an appointment with a dentist please telephone 01292 263550.
After your initial consultation we will provide you with an estimate of the cost of your treatment.
What does a new patient consultation involve?
After a full medical history is taken the dentist will carry out a full examination of your teeth, gums, oral cavity and surrounding tissues such as the jaw joints. As dentists we provide care for all structures associated with the mouth. Appropriate x-rays will be taken and following this we will discuss treatment options with you. A full estimate for any appropriate treatment will be given. Above all we want you to be involved.
We would always encourage new patients to have a full dental health examination with a dentist. However we do offer an opportunity for new patients to visit the practice, meet the team and discuss the services we offer with an experienced team member. There is no charge for this service. We are confident that you will be impressed with the facilities we have, so please contact our reception and they will be able to arrange for a tour.
What can I expect to receive with private treatment?
The NHS provides a long list of available dental treatment but there are treatments that are either exclusions or alternatives. Tooth-coloured crowns and most tooth coloured fillings in back teeth are excluded from the NHS schedule
Dental Implants are a viable alternative to missing teeth or loose dentures.
For implant consultations the fee is £95.00 to include study models, radiographs and where appropriate a further appointment to discuss the treatment plan at no extra charge.
Ask a dentist
Many people have some aspect of their dental health or smile they are not happy with but are unsure what modern dentistry can offer. We therefore are happy to provide answers to your questions via email. This allows new and existing patients to discuss with a dentist what is available in general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and dental implants and what could be achieved for them. If after this you are interested in having treatment, an appropriate examination and treatment plan can be arranged. So if there is something you've always dreamt of changing why not contact us for an assessment?
