Crowns
Crowns are used where there has been significant loss of tooth tissue due, for example, to decay or when you already have a crown. Crowns can be made of all ceramic, metal or a combination of metal and ceramic. The materials available now can combine the best aspects to produce strength without compromising on the appearance. Many systems are available and we will choose the one that meets your clinical and aesthetic needs the most.
Veneers
Veneers are thin layers of ceramic that are bonded to the surface of teeth. They have the advantage that less tooth preparation is required than for a crown. Again many systems are available and the best one for you will be used. As with crowns, veneers are generally indicated when the tooth has some pre-existing loss of tooth tissue, for example due to decay or trauma.
